Ron the Rat

I asked my students to prepare a rap for a project in our computer class. They asked me to freestyle my own rap. I failed, so I wrote this in class to redeem myself.

I once had a dog whose name was Pat

He adopted a pet named Ron the Rat.

Pat gave Ron his favorite toy,

But only when Ron thanked Pat with joy

When Ron got mad and sought to play

He snuck past Pat to disobey

And there in the room lay his pot of gold

A duck made of rubber whose eyes were cold

He made his way past all the rest

And found out that it was all a test

Pat’s best toy disguised a cat

And that was the end of Ron the Rat.
